How Your Shadows Can Show You The Light

Imagine you could flip the darkest part of yourself into something astonishing. How good would your life be?

If you could wake up each morning knowing that the shadows in your world aren’t out to get you. But they can actually work in your favour.

Right now though, that might seem a bit far fetched.

You may be struggling with some darkness. Or burying your shadows deep in your mind, only for them to control you.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Because the secrets to manifesting your desires can lie in your shadows. Those fears and limiting beliefs that hold you back can become a platform for your light to shine on

That’s why I’m inviting you to take a step back, and find the light within the darkness.

What Are Your Shadows?

Put simply, they are fears or limiting beliefs that we fight to accept. We push them back into our minds, out of reach from our consciousness.

Most times, they arise from your childhood. Or moments of weakness in your past. And they form layers of insecurities that block our desires from manifesting.

By refusing to accept their presence, they grow stronger. And slowly “own” us rather than vice versa.

For example, you might have deep, hidden concerns about your appearance. Maybe you got bullied for it as a child. But facing this reality can be challenging – much less accepting it. So you push it back, refusing to acknowledge its existence.

The problem with this approach is that push backs don’t mean disappearance. So those concerns are still there. Lurking as shadows, forming a dark blanket over your desires, and preventing them from coming to light

But when you decide to embrace them, you stand a good chance in poking holes for your light to shine through.

Why your shadows can help you.

I love to see shadows as pointers. Most times they’re the underlying reason why we struggle to manifest our desires.

Think about it, you’ll find it tougher to attract your desires if your subconscious is still plagued with lack of self worth.

If you’ve ever felt like your manifestations don’t work, you’d need a moment of inward reflection. Shadows are areas in our lives that lack self love or acceptance.

We stand a great chance of seeing the light in ourselves when we become aware of the dark areas within us. This way the light can guide us into our lands of prosperity.

Finding your light with simple steps.

Ever wondered why top performers seem to burst into greater success after slugging it out in their dark moments? I’ll tell you. Because your lowest points are an opportunity to face your fears.

To challenge your limiting beliefs so you can see the right path to walk on. This section will help you forge new areas where your light can shine through.

Step 1- Acknowledging your shadows.

We’d like to think that we’ve got the smallest amount of darkness possible. Or that we’ve got none at all. Of course, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

We’re all imperfect creatures navigating through the fairly turbulent waters of life. Along the way we pick up scars in the form of fears, and insecurities. You have to accept this reality. This is how you’ll be able to control it, rather than letting it control you.

Step 2- Trace their roots.

Shadows are caused when something obstructs the light in our lives. Casting a darkness of doubts or fears on important areas.

Your duty is to find out what that something is to find out what that something is. Learn to pay attention to when you feel embarrassed, ashamed or in pain. Any moment that triggers these feelings inside you should be your point of self reflection.

Ask yourself: Why do I feel this way? What in my past could be preventing me from expressing myself? To remove a tree, it’s always a great idea to tackle it from its roots.

Insecurities are problems that have roots that run deep into our subconscious. Self reflection is how you find out what these roots are so you can cut them. This is not an excuse to dwell on the past though. But to connect with your past, and make peace with it.

Step 3- Affirmations.

When in doubt, go with affirmations. They’re one of my favorite tools in a manifestor’s tool box. Because they offer you a new sense of direction; away from the darkness, towards the light.

You can easily reframe your fears or anxieties with a simple affirmation. A terrible belief like “I’m not enough” can easily become “I’m capable of succeeding” Low self esteem issues can be flipped into “I’m confident in my own skin”

See how that works? Repeating this over and over again trains your mind to believe it. And once your mind believes, the results you seek will follow.

Final Thoughts.

Whatever we’re not aware of, can end up controlling us. That’s why bringing our shadows to consciousness is a big part of finding our light.

Your shadows are merely weaknesses waiting to be strengthened.  Fear waiting to be turned to confidence. And hate waiting to be dissolved in self-love.

You can either let them cloud your desires or a carve path where your light can shine through.

But as you’ve probably noticed, it’s hard to stick to the good ones.

How Are Bad Habits Formed In The First Place

To better understand a problem it’s always a great idea to trace the roots. All bad habits stem from a common formation principle.

Knowing this will serve you well. Because once you explore the various ways bad habits emerge, tackling them becomes easier.

So how do bad habits form? All habits (not just bad ones) follow a four part process that cements them in our lives:

1) A cue or trigger.
2) Craving
3) Response or Reaction
4) Reward

Let’s dive deeper a little into each one to see how bad habits like smoking, alcohol, and even procrastination take hold of our lives.

To do this we’ll use alcohol drinking as a reference point

– Cue Or Trigger.

This is anything that creates an urge for you to indulge in a habit. It ranges from things like stress, a physical reminder of your past or anxiety.

Basically, anything that raises your urge to indulge in negative habits is your trigger. For alcohol, it could be stress at work. Most people state stress as a major reason they slip back into their old drinking ways.

– Cravings.

Once that trigger has been fired, your cravings kick in. You can control it at this point but most people don’t. And their cravings get the better of them.

It’s hard to fight your cravings but you’ll soon find out a few tricks to help you out.

– Response Or Reaction.

This where you indulge in the bad habit over and over again. From one bottle of alcohol to two then three, till you’re finally too drunk to do anything.

Response has a multiplier effect. Which means once you start an action, you’ll want to increase it.

That’s why it’s close to impossible to hold yourself back at this point. And the reason is due to rewards from engaging in such actions.

– Rewards.

This practically seals the deal. Because if there was no form of reward in the first place, we’d probably never have bad habits.

Feeling less anxiety after gulping four alcohol bottles makes people return to it.

For a lot of people these bad habits become soothing. They massage our emotions temporarily leading us to slip back into old ways we’d swore to get done with.

Why Bad Habits Make For Ineffective Manifestation.

Once we lose our ability to manifest, we lose access to our blessings.

Bad Habits might give you some rewards but they’re short lived. They’re disguised problems waiting to jump out on you from nowhere.

Sure, you might drown your worries and feel good in the moment. But what happens after that? Headaches, loss of concentration, and lower vibrations. 

These problems compound, and damage your ability to manifest your desires. And if you can’t focus, that’s a goodbye to your dreams. Because that’s an ability every powerful manifestor is armed with.

So if your vibrations are low, the universe can’t give you what you want.

How To Break Bad Habits For Good.

Good habits make success possible. They’re like seeds that bring fruits of happiness, joy, and money into your future.

You might look at people that seem to move through life with ease and wonder why.

Well, it’s the habits they’ve planted long ago. That’s why it’s crucial to break bad habit cycles. Then replace them with good ones so your life can move smoothly.

On that note, you can follow these steps to break your bad habits.

1- Practice Mindfulness.

Bad habits like smoking or drinking don’t magically disappear. No matter how much we want them to.

It takes deliberate effort on your part to put an end to plaguing habits. And the first step is becoming aware of your triggers.

There are certain things, situations or people that trigger you once you encounter them. It’s your duty to sit back, and find out what these things are.

You can’t fix a problem if you don’t know the cause. Pointing your finger at something, and labelling at a trigger will help you to catch yourself.

This way you’ll be more aware of your feelings.

2- Detoxify.

This is where you get rid of your triggers. If your trigger is stress, find ways to relax. Like watching a movie. Or listening to your favorite songs.

Spend less time around things that create an urge to slip into bad habits. If there’s someone that triggers you, then it’s time to start seeing that person less often.

Your body, mind, and energy will thank you for it.

3- Make it harder to start

Sometimes we might slip up in the first two steps. And that’s okay. That’s why it’s important to make bad habits tougher to continue. 

An example is when you’ve got a phone addiction and can’t seem to drop it down. To make it harder to use, consider locking it up in a drawer before you sleep. Or at certain periods of the day

If you struggle with drinking, you can apply similar methods. You can reduce the amount of bottles you stock up in your fridge.

Also, you can set boundaries on your time or attention for toxic people. This will make it harder for them to reach you.

When it’s tougher to slip into bad habits, we get discouraged from carrying them out.

4- Visualize your new behavior

Now that we’ve got all the bad stuff out of the way, it’s time to focus on the good ones.

This will help you unplug from the negative cycles. Visualizing yourself practicing your new behaviors will help you escape from negativity.

Why? Because your mind gets used to it. And as you probably know, your mind shapes your reality. 

The more your mind believes in your ability to change, the easier it is for your body to act on it. 

Here we preach the power of visualizations. Because it’s a gateway to actually becoming who you desire to be.

Wrapping Things Up

Bad habits have no place in your life. The less you indulge in them, the faster your desires manifest.

Your vibration is an energy force that needs to be constantly stimulated. So you carve out ways to do that.

Good habits ensure you’re filled with abundance, joy, and positivity.

You Are Attached To The Outcome
While it’s important to focus on your desires, being attached to the outcome can bring in a negative result. This is a common reason why people mess up the manifestation process.

It’s important to channel your energy towards what you want, but you should also LET GO and live your life a bit. And by letting go, I don’t mean that you no longer desire it. I’m simply telling you to be less attached to the outcome.

Stop trying to make things happen on your own accord, don’t be obsessed about them coming, quit checking your phone hoping someone buzzes you, and stalking his/her social media account.

Don’t obsess over when it’ll happen, where it’ll happen, or how it’ll happen. The truth is that you attach the same energy you give out and if you become worried and stressed about it, you’ll manifest someone who matches that energy.

So my advice is that you send your manifestation to the universe, then fall back a bit. Live, relax, and enjoy as if you know that your happy relationship is coming your way.

You Lack Belief
One of the reasons you attract the wrong person is that you don’t believe your manifestation will come through.

Even if you are doing all the manifestation techniques correctly, something within you believes that it’s false. You are giving eye services to the idea of manifesting a specific person but you feel it is unrealistic.

You could see it as manifesting the wrong person, but if this new guy makes you feel like a winner, they pay attention to you and have all the qualities you want in a man, then the universe has fulfilled your desire.

The law of attraction works based on feelings. So, yes, it may be the wrong person physically, but this type of result works for you.

You’re Focusing on the ‘Void’ in Your Life
Another problem that can cause you to manifest the wrong person is focusing on lack.

We know there is a void to fill in your life. So focusing on filling it up is understandable. However, if you are spending too much time thinking about how empty your bed or your life is, you’ll attract emptiness.

Why Don’t I Feel Emotions When Manifesting Anymore?

We are emotional creatures, and we were born to express them openly and freely.

But somewhere along the way, we feel ‘negative’ emotions – and we repress them to feel accepted, loved, and fit into society’s version of a perfect person.

Most people are bombarded with different rules when manifesting. So, we don’t have a choice but to follow every information on the internet.

We have to change the crappy self-image of ourselves, we have to believe in things we want, try to block out the things we don’t want and find a reason to stay positive all the time.

What causes emotional numbness?

Dealing with emotional numbness can be quite challenging. How do we transform the energy we don’t feel connected to? We may have been disconnected from our feelings for so long, we don’t know what to feel anymore.

Emotional numbness can be caused by so many things. Maybe your family was the type who believed “Children are to be seen, not heard” so you had a hard time healthily processing emotions.

There might have been a time where you expressed yourself, but anger was met with anger, the fear went unacknowledged, and plenty was overlooked because you needed to be a big girl/boy.

So as a defense mechanism, you shut them out. You’ve learned to bury your feelings, pain, and anger – you put on a mask, head outside, and build walls trying to hide the pain from everyone including yourself.

Or maybe you couldn’t handle these emotions for some reason and it was part of your personality.

Whatever reason it is, without an emotional connection to the things you want badly, they have cannot be manifested.

If you truly wish to manifest something, your HEART and MIND have to be in unity.

The biggest problem is resistance

Feeling negative or numb is not the problem, trying to shut it out is. Resistance is what stops us from analyzing our feelings and finding the driving force behind them.

These feelings did not pop out from the woods, they were triggered by something. When we are feeling bad, we tend to curse ourselves for not being good at this “becoming a better version of yourself” thing.

Then we hide them deep inside us where others can’t see them. These unresolved emotions get trapped in our bodies, draining our energy, leading to emotional imbalance, burnout, and disease.

Not feeling any emotions when manifesting isn’t wrong. It can be the key to unlocking what you want.

Are you getting attached to the outcome?

When someone tries a technique several times but fails repeatedly, they tend to become less interested. Have you tried a technique that didn’t work out for you?

This could be a major reason why you are feeling numb. But, you have been getting it completely wrong.

Listen, if you are the type of person that gets attached to outcomes, you’ll probably have a hard time when manifesting.

Do you live in the moment or worry about the outcomes? If you choose the latter, the manifestation may not be good for your mental health.

We get a bit obsessed with shifting our energy and crappy outcomes make us feel unworthy, broken, undeserving, lacking, and incomplete.

Your search for signs becomes unhealthy. You begin to feel intolerant, constantly fearing that if you don’t get a sign from the universe, something bad would happen. And when you can’t find a laid-out direction, you get sad and disconnected. Let go of manifesting from a point where you need to be fixed.

Learn to get out of your HEAD and INTO your heart to have the FEELINGS surrounding this THING. Whenever you feel negative, don’t shun it out. Rather, take out time to examine these feelings and re-create them to connect with the desired thing you want.

Before you start any manifestation technique, it is a good idea to throw out grief by engaging in the things you enjoy doing. You can watch a comedy, draw, or even watch success stories of people that have tried manifesting on youtube.

Become calm, cool, and collected always. Use your imagination to get the feeling of already having the desire and live as though you are there.

It’s currently under the hashtag ‘369method’ amassing over 165 million views as at the time this article is written (aside from other supporting hashtags totaling approximately 80 million views).

But are these random numbers?

What’s the history behind the figures?

Though there is no concrete evidence behind the originality of this technique, a vast number of people believe it can be traced down to Nikola Tesla (yeah, the guy Elon Musk named Tesla Productions after).

The Serbian-American inventor and owner of the popular Tesla coil are well known for his spiritual enlightenment. He thought that three, six, and nine were divine numbers and had spiritual significance in terms of the power of the universe and human nature.

The reason Tesla called these divine numbers is because of the role they play in our numerical system. When studying circles (360 degrees, which is 3 + 6 = 9), he discovered that no matter how many times you divide a circle, you’ll still arrive at either 3, 6, or 9. He felt those numbers held great importance in humans, nature, and the universe.

Numbers aside, the 369 works in conjunction with the law of attraction which states that we attract what we focus on and give our attention to.

By focusing on what you want and being consistent in positive emotions and thoughts, you can magnet your desires into reality.

Your brain receives positive messages when you wake up in the morning, in the middle of the day when you are most productive, and at night when your subconscious mind becomes awake.

The significance of the numbers

Here’s the significance of every number in the sequence:

  • 3 represents our direct link to the universe and our self-expression.
  • 6 represents our inner strength.
  • 9 represents our rebirth i.e, letting go of negativity.

Tesla quoted, “If you want to discover the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” These are the three ingredients we use when manifesting.

So how does the 369 manifestation work? How can you use this fast-rising method?

How the 369 Manifestation works

Before getting started, you’ll want to figure out what exactly it is you want to manifest. It could be a raise, a loving partner, a new house, or anything.

Grab a pen and a journal. You’ll be needing that for the next 21 days. Writing what you want on a physical note can be fr more effective than jotting it on your laptop (speaking from personal experience).

We are going to begin the process by keeping in mind that one manifestation takes at least seventeen seconds to write down (probably two to three sentences long).

Why 17 seconds? Is this some random number?

Another theory about why this method work involves a renowned inspirational speaker and Author, Abraham Hicks, also known as Esther Hicks. He believed that writing down a manifestation for at least 17 seconds long gives your brain the capacity to create the energy and emotions around the thought.

If you focus on happiness for 17 seconds, we create more of that energy. This makes it faster to manifest what you desire.

This technique has helped lots of people welcome financial miracles, new jobs, promotions – the universe does not have a limit.

What do you want to manifest? Whatever it is, you want to start it with gratitude. For example:

“I am so thankful for the universe aligning me with a scholarship to study (insert details), bringing it with happiness, joy, and excitement into my life.”

The key is to use words that amplify the emotions you want to feel.

Here’s what you want to do from here:

  • Take your journal every morning as soon as you wake up. Write your manifestation you have crafted three times.
  • The next step is midway through the day. Write down your manifestation as above six times.
  • In the evening before you go to bed, write your manifestation, but this time 9 times.

As your pen scripts your desire onto your journal, the key is to feel as if you have already received it. Imagine yourself getting what you want. How are you feeling? Release it and let the universe do the magic.

However, you should not hold onto your manifestation so you don’t sound desperate. By utilizing the power of the 369 method with Hicks’ 17 seconds alignment, it would work for you as it has for millions of people.

    • Do not hold on to your manifestation. The how and when is not your concern. Trust in divine timing and let the universe do the magic. When the universe notices that your energy is ready to receive, it will be yours.
    • Be consistent for this to truly work. Set aside your time for each process and treat it as a priority. Trust me, you won’t regret being consistent.
    • Speak in the present tense always. Use words such as “I will” or “I want”. Trust that you will get it at the right time.

Today, I have a mindset where I expect unexpected things to happen and I know things are naturally falling into place for me. Today, I do not ignore the signs of the universe anymore; I embrace them; I search for them.

In this article, I’ll like to show you some signs that you’ve probably kept ignoring up until this moment, signs that the universe is trying to communicate with you. To help you shine your internal light so bright without any fear. Let’s go.

The Full Moon

If you’ve ever walked under a full moon, with your mind clear of the world’s baggage, you will find a purity that you have never experienced before. The occurrence of a full moon symbolizes a great many things and one of them is a search into your soul. There is a cosmic peak that happens on the full moon. A time for you to let go of what needs to be removed from your soul. The full Moon is a time to balance your chakra and accept the full blessings you’re about to receive.

To tap into the frequency of the full moon, you can perform the following ablutions

  1. Close your eyes and focus: Let go of everything in this world and inhale fresh energy. Affirm that you are tapping into something new and divine and letting go of all the negativity in your life.
  2. Affirm aloud: you may lie down on your back, gaze into the full moon, and say aloud the things you desire the most.

The first time I became aware of my spiritual self and began to see beyond the illusions of the physical world was when the universe started showing me patterns throughout the day. When I started seeing repeating numbers like 11:11, 2:22, 9:11 and 1,2,3 in a sequence, I knew a higher force was at work. When I picked up my phone to check the time, it always happened to be 11:11 or a peculiar number. I began to see the number 7 more frequently in the most random things. The fun doesn’t stop at pictures though. You can get a bunch of texts of your favorite inspirational quotes.

And as we like to do, write down affirmations in our own writing.
