What’s Your Unique Gift? Ways to Discover it

Last weekend, Chloe finally had the chance to take her parents to their favorite dinner spot in Seattle. The kind of place where you can get real homemade apple pie and chocolate ice cream. You’ll swear you’ll never taste someone else’s.

Her Dad said to her, “Remember this time last year when you called us around 3am crying because you wanted to quit your job? You did not know what you were doing in life? Or if you were meant to do anything at all? And remember what I told you? Doesn’t matter how long it takes, you were born with a unique gift. You just have to find it and do what you love… Look at you know…”

Yeah I know what you’re thinking, ‘finding your unique gift’ may sound a little cliché, Chloe thought that too. 

But she knew in her heart that his words were through. No matter what she ends up doing, she knows that she’ll work extra hard to become the best at it.

And it only makes sense for her to find something that aligns with her life’s purpose. She was able to find what made her unique, and today, she is doing the work she loves.

That doesn’t mean she won’t face tough or challenging times, but it means that she is continually building her life, sharing what she was called to do with those around her.

Were We Born with a Unique Gift?

The short answer is yes.

Every one of us comes into this life with a set of unique gifts and special talents. Your whole life will have a new meaning and clearer direction when you find that gift and use it in a valuable way.

You often ask yourself questions like: why are we here? What is my purpose? What makes me unique? Does any of this even matter?

The truth is you have a specific purpose for coming into this world. You matter. Your life matters. And as you journey your way through self-discovery, you’ll find certain things that you love doing. You begin to align with your calling. 

Through a lot of practice, self-doubt, and filing forward, I discovered my calling to help people become a better version of themselves. In the course of my discovery, I realized that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all to finding your unique gift. 

How Do We Know What Our Gifts Are?

Your gift gradually unfolds to you. Here are some of the qualities to look out for to help you determine if you have found your gift… or not:


You know something is your gift when you feel thankful for the opportunity to share it with the world. I feel grateful for the opportunity to share this article with my readers. I’m always happy when I hear people healing from pain, finding their life’s purpose, and aligning with the universe.


Our gifts inspire us to wake up each day and get going. Whenever we get the chance to showcase our gifts we often feel inspired and happy. When you feel tired or unmotivated, the smallest chance can help you dust yourself off, pick yourself up, and get a fresh start to a new day. 


Our gift offers freedom of expression and living. When something is your true calling, the universe supports it. So, we often feel free from limitations. This also means something you’ll happily give away for the joy that it brings you.  


Our gifts transform us because we grow in our self-belief. We become someone who and we are capable of doing the things we never thought we could. You’ll start to feel better, more confident, spiritually connected with the universe. Through this transformation, we can change the world. 

If you’re not sure what your gift is, try asking yourself these questions:

How did you love to spend your childhood?

What did you enjoy doing as a child? How would you pass the days and what kind of activities did you enjoy doing? What experiences created the best memories?

Think back to the time when your heart was young and you weren’t influenced by society. Were your parent’s expectations of you didn’t go beyond playing around in a safe environment. Think back as far as the pre-school days if possible. 

The common theme in there will lead you down the path of discovering your unique gift.

What are you passionate about as an adult?

What makes you get up from bed even when you are tired? What lights you up? What kind of things do you enjoy doing so much that you lose track of time?

Do you have these experiences at work? Does your leisure or hobby fall into this category? Moments where time stops point towards areas of deep interest and passion. This is another key in discovering your calling.

What’s important to you about life?

When you think about areas of your life – career, religion, relationship, family, leisure activities – make a list of what’s important to you.

This list contains your values and what you stand for. When you combine your values in every aspect of your life, it can direct you towards unfolding your gift.

What’s the one thing others associate with me?

Families, friends, associates, coworkers can observe you in a way you can’t observe yourself. Many times, their observations are far greater than self-analysis. 

Ask them questions like, “What makes me unique? What is my strongest personality trait? What areas do I excel in?” They may not be able to pinpoint your unique gift, but their answers can be light on your path.

Find yourself

To live a fulfilling life, one must discover their unique gift and use it in a valuable way to help other people. You have something unique to offer. Give yourself room to find it. 

When you identify it, you will have the opportunity to live a successful and fulfilled life. At the end of the day, who you are, what you are meant to do will show up.

And remember, you matter in more ways and on more days than you can think of.

How to Use The 17 Seconds Manifestation Method

“Hold a thought for just 17 seconds and the law of attraction kicks in. Hold a thought for 68 seconds and things move; manifestation has begun.” – Abraham Hicks. 

If you could manifest your biggest desires by thinking about them for 17 seconds, would you do it? 

Now I know what you are thinking. Can I manifest anything 17 seconds from now?

If you are new to manifestation and the whole law of attraction, basically our experiences in the outer world are created by our internal thoughts and feelings. It’s all about emitting the right vibration. If your thoughts are negative, you attract negative things. If they are positive, you’ll experience positive happenings. 

Let’s shift our attention back to the 17-second manifestation method. How does this work? And what do I need to make it work?

According to Abraham Hicks, one of the best law of attraction teachers, manifestation begins when you hold a single thought for 17 seconds. He calls this the “combustion point.” You can intensify and strengthen it until the thought spans up to 68 seconds. 

You can utilize the 17 seconds rule by focusing your mind on a thought or idea, speaking out loud, or writing your intention down as an affirmation.

This might sound extremely easy, but these 17 seconds must be filled by this singular thought. No other contradictions should come up during this time. 

If you have ever meditated on a singular mantra you’ll know how difficult this can be. Your mind is automatically prone to open many tabs.

“Don’t think of a unicorn”… what are you thinking of now?

When you try not to think about something, it’s almost impossible not to. So, you can imagine how challenging it is to hold a singular positive thought without anything else coming up. 

Is it possible? Absolutely yes!

But before you attempt the 17-second method…

Yes, while you can manifest anything with this 17 seconds method, you need to ensure that your energy matches what you’re asking for. 

For example, if one of your challenges you need to overcome in life is that you are not confident, but you turn to the law of attraction for a partner, you’re going to face a hard time making it work.

So, it’s probably best that you discover your challenges and set positive affirmations to help you overcome the cause of your problems.

How to Use the 17-second Rule?

The key to this method is practice. It’s a natural rule of thumb that the more you practice, the better you become. 

The more you practice, it’ll become easier to train your mind to focus on one thing without distractions. Just keep returning to the chosen thought until it becomes second nature. You’ll gain mastery by doing it consistently. 

Here’s a simple process to use this method effectively:

Get in a happy mood

It’s essential to feel happy and relaxed for this practice to work. I find it helpful to treat this ritual as your regular meditation, which means a positive experience helps you a lot.

I don’t recommend doing this method if you are feeling lacking, in a bad space, or not just great at all. You want your vibration to match the energy of what you want to manifest.

If you are feeling down, try recalling a happy memory that makes you feel energetic and puts a smile on your face. Or try taking deep breaths and repeat the mantras for peace, joy, and happiness.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all way to do this. Just do what makes your headspace pleasant, happy, and relaxing to you

Choose a thought

What are you doing to focus on for the next 17 seconds? You need to have a positive thought and be on a high energetic level. Make sure you’re very clear and specific on what you want.

If you want to manifest money, think about the specific figure you want. If you want a text from someone, mention the name of the person.

Keep your thoughts simple, yet specific. 

Think about the things that make you happy. You can try to relieve and convince yourself that you are on the path to greatness. 

Remove all distractions

Avoid being distracted for the next 17 seconds. Even though this isn’t easy, you can train your mind through constant practice. 

Each time you think of a distracting thought, reset the timer and start over again. 

A great way to limit the noise in your mind is to find a relaxing and peaceful place where you can be alone for a couple of minutes. Put your phone on airplane mode, turn off all distractions, and ensure you are alone. 

Set the timer for 68 seconds with a 17-second segment

First, set the time for 17 seconds. You can use anything – your phone, clock, stopwatch, etc.

Now, focus intently on your desire for the duration of the timer. Hold your positive thoughts and try not to get distracted, or you’ll weaken your manifestation. 

If you find it difficult, that’s okay. 

It would help if you try to recall a happy feeling. Start by making your desire your single thought and allow it to get more detailed and intense for the next of the 51 seconds. 

Let it go and show gratitude to the universe

Show gratitude and thankfulness to the universe and set your manifestation free. 

How can you go from focusing intensely on something you desire to let go of suddenly?

Do something else. 

I like to break up my thoughts and do anything else that gets my mind off what I was previously thinking about. 

When we are thankful for the things we are manifesting, our vibrational energy demonstrates our worthiness to receive our desire. 


Will you try this method?

Now, I want you to know that thoughts aren’t enough to manifest your desire. There are many other factors involved in the law of attraction… such as visualization, believing, showing gratitude, etc.

Nonetheless, it’s a fun method to try and it can help you strengthen your meditation practice. You should go for it!

Keep an open mind, a grateful heart, then you’ll be on the path to manifesting success.

What’s Your Subconscious Mind?

Your subconscious mind is the part of the mind that gets up all the time without ‘us’ being active. Your subconscious mind stores every information, belief, and value, memory. This affects everything we say, think, and do – without us realizing it.

The subconscious mind learns through repetition. So, if it’s fed the same information multiple times, it engulfs it. Learning how to drive a car is a great example of how it works. When you first sat behind the wheels, you found it hard to maintain balance and move steadily. But you kept trying for five minutes, thirty minutes, and now you can drive for as long as you can. Because of the constant repetition and practice, your subconscious mind picks up what it takes to drive.

So, whenever you take a hold of the steering, your subconscious mind automatically remembers what you were thinking and without much effort, you start to drive.  

To live the life you desire, you have to take control of your life and leverage your subconscious mind. So what does it take to reprogram your subconscious mind?

Ways to Cleanse Your Subconscious Mind

Giving your mind a quick reboot when you feel stressed can help you get rid of the unwanted thoughts in your memory.

You can’t experience growth if you aren’t willing to drop old patterns of thinking that no longer serve you.

You can’t move forward without letting go and healing from past hurts and wounds.    

Your negative thoughts cannot create a happy life.

Not to worry, though – there are ways to cleanse your subconscious mind.

Practice Meditation 

Meditation helps you stay present and focused on what’s happening around you. It’ll drown the noise in your head, allowing you to examine yourself deeper.

When you take a deeper look at yourself, you’ll see your true self. 

The average human mind has about 50,000 new thoughts daily, which means you are constantly thinking every 1.2 seconds. It’s easy for random thoughts to creep in shifting you away from your priorities.  

Meditation is a way to detox your mind to help you maintain focus. When you practice meditation, you become aware of what’s happening in your life, enhancing your focus.

Mindfulness meditation can help boost mindfulness and relieve stress by teaching you how to acknowledge distracting thoughts and letting them go. 

When you meditate, tune in to your five senses and open your mind to what you can learn from a given situation. You’ll probably notice your thoughts drift occasionally. This is normal, so don’t beat yourself up. 

Talk About It

When your mind brims over a negative memory, it’s always better to talk about it than suppressing it. 

Saying your thoughts out loud makes it easier to explore them. It helps decrease intrusive thoughts and other mental clutter. 

For example, if you have a phobia for something, talk about it and try going as further as possible to where it all began. Was it something someone did to you? Did it happen in your childhood?

Once you start keeping track of your fears, you’ll be able to find the root problem and feel massively better. 

After a talking session, you might realize that those fears had no control over you. Now they’ve entered our conscious mind, you can address them. 

Say Positive Affirmations

 Your mind believes everything you say or think. This rule also applies to negative thoughts you have about yourself or your life.

To cleanse your subconscious mind and get rid of negative beliefs, reaffirm positive statements in your life. Positive affirmations have tremendous healing potential in your mind and can improve your mental health. 

All you have to do is sit comfortably, relax, and choose an affirmation you want to have as a core belief. For instance, if you feel sad often, try something like: I feel happy today and every day. My life is overflowing with joy and everything around me causes me to smile.


Your mind is your best friend. Everything you can imagine, you can bring to reality. 

How does this help you detox your subconscious mind?

Visualize the person you want to become one day. If confidence is a major issue for you, see yourself as a confident person now.

If you are having financial challenges, visualize yourself living in abundance. Keep your visualization positive and you can step up your game. 

Pay attention to as many details as possible. Observe how you feel in this imagined future and explore what your life looks like with the intention of being brought to life. 


You may not be able to restart your subconscious mind, but there are plenty of ways you can declutter and reboot it. 

The magic trick to making the above methods work for you is repetition. This means that everything you’ve been will only work if you’re consistent. So, keep doing it for a month, or two and you’re bound to see changes.

Once you get soaked in the blessings of mantras you can’t go back.

Mantras are words, syllables, phrases or sounds that penetrate the deeper parts of your mind and bring you profound energy.

So how do they work?

They send high vibrations throughout your body. Which allows you to feel peaceful, calmer and happier across your day.

For better results, repeat them so you train your mind and body to respond to it.

As a general rule,  mantras are meant to be repeated over and over again.

For example, notice how you instinctively reach for your phone each time it rings? 

In the same way, you can program your mind to respond automatically to the magical sounds of mantras. 

The best way to achieve this is to repeat your mantras during meditation. Meditation provides the quiet, calming environment for mantras to thrive.

Here are a few more ways to use mantras:

1) Find a serene and comfortable environment. 

The last thing you want while saying your mantras is distraction. They pull your energy and focus from many sides making it hard to concentrate on your manifestations.

That’s why it’s important to find a place where you can shut the rest of the world out. No cell phones or humans harping about the latest reality show. 

It’s only you, fully present in the moment.

2) Relax Your Body And Smile.

Smiling has a unique way of lifting our mood. It forces a rush of positive emotions throughout your body.

Also, relaxing the muscles in your body releases tension. This makes you feel more present, and at ease.

Tension breeds fear, that’s why muscle relaxation and smiling are important to release it.

3) Focus On A Specific Part Of Your Body Or Mind

Mantras, like many parts of manifestation, are personal. This means you can adjust the sounds to your specific needs.

If a part of your body needs healing for example, shift your focus on it.

 Also, you can put your attention on a part of your soul that’s struggling or troubled.

When done right, mantras feel like a warm, reassuring hug from a friend.

Getting caught up in endless drama? Simply pull out your peace mantras to de-stress. 

Sick of feeling unhappy from your unbearable anxiety? There’s a bunch of happiness mantras waiting for you.

Whatever tough situation you’re going through, there’s always one to help you achieve a sense of calm, clarity and resilience.

In the face of chaos nothing’s more reassuring than a mantra to keep ourselves sane.

Here are just a few ones you can try.

  1. a) I am peaceful

The mantra “Om Shanti” is one of the most powerful mantras you can use. Om means “I am” or “I have” while  Shanti means “peace”

To repeat them together, you can say “I am peaceful”

This is a good mantra when you feel overwhelmed with drama or problems in your life.

Here’s how you can use it in practice:

“I have peace in my life”

Mantra for confidence

Sometimes we feel unsure of ourselves. Like we’re good or doing enough.

These mantras will give you a new found belief in yourself to handle the toughest situations.

You’ll gain fresh insights about yourself. They’re all about helping you see yourself for who you truly are: a powerful, capable being.

  1. a) The “I am who I want to be” Mantra

This mantra is served from the Hindu mantra: “Ham Sah” which means “I am that”

When manifesting this is a great mantra for focusing on the kind of person you want to become.

All you have to do is say “I am that” before your desire. It’s important that this desire is more of a habit, character. Not material things like cars or houses.

Here’s how it would look in practice:

“I am a confident and positive person”

  1. b) The absolute mantra

There’s a deeper, more authentic version of yourself locked inside your mind. 

This mantra is useful when you want to connect to it. The Hindu version is “Om tat sat” meaning “absolute truth”

It’s very effective if you’re going through imposter syndrome. Or feel like you’re not being authentic with your family, friends or co-workers.

Think of situations where you’re afraid of being judged. Or wanting to please people. 

Here’s how it works in practice:

“I am expressing my most authentic self”

Mantra for self-love

Nothing beats self love, right? Truth is, nobody can love you more than you.

That’s why this mantra is incredibly powerful to forge a deep bond with yourself.

  1. a) I love myself

This one’s pretty straightforward.

Sometimes we get caught up in our mistakes or shortcomings. And this can make us hate ourselves whenever we slip up because of them.

But it’s important to take a step back so we can see that there’s much more to love – despite our imperfections.

The hindu mantra for this is “So Hum” which means “I am love”

Here’s how it is in practice:

“I am falling in love with myself each day”


“I give myself compassion

What’s the right mantra for you?

Every mantra is effective, but some perform better in specific situations.

It all depends on your personal circumstance, goals and desires.

Now that you’ve got a few to get started with, let’s see how to find the right fit for you.

Get personal.

Let’s kick things off with some self-reflection. What areas in your life do you wish to improve?

What bugs your mind everyday, keeping up all night?

That’s where you start from then work your way towards the mantras. You want to assign the right mantra to your appropriate desires.

This way, they’ll have greater effects in manifesting your desire

Stick to your mantras.

It’s important to integrate mantras into your manifestation routines.

This includes practices like meditations, visualizations, and affirmations.

Repetition is to manifestation what exercise is your body – a stronger, healthier version of you.

So if you want to grow into a powerful manifestor, then manifestation should be part of your daily habits.

A word of warning though, just knowing how to use mantras isn’t going to automatically bring you peace.

That’s because the key is that you need to take action on what you just learned.

In manifestation there’s a general belief that you have a guiding source.

This source is known as the universe. The universe communicates with these  numbers when it has a message for you.

Think of them like manifestation bells alerting you on something. Could be big changes in your life. Or a reminder that you’re on the right path.

The goal with these numbers is to give you a soft nudge in the right direction. That’s why each one’s got a unique meaning attached to it.

It’s important to note that you don’t find these numbers, as most people believe. They find you. 

Because they’re sent to guide along your spiritual journey. 

What Do These Numbers Mean?

They’re not called Angel numbers for nothing. Packed with tons of information, they’ll be of great service to you once you know how they work.

And that’s through  the concept of synchronicity. 

What this implies is that seeing them means your body or mind is aligned or in “sync” with the universe.

Which is a great place to be, of course. Because all you have to do is stay calm, and pay attention. And it starts from knowing what these numbers stand for. In other words, the possible meanings they’ve got in your life.

Angel numbers are divided into three broad categories: 

  • Single-digit numbers, 
  • Double digit numbers or Master numbers. 
  • And lastly triple or four digit numbers (Also known as multiples)

Single Digit Angel Numbers.

As the name implies, these include numbers like 1, 2, 3 etc. 

In repetition, each one has a special meaning to your situation. While some numbers are closely related in meaning, they’re instinctively different.

The number of faith and trust. 2 carries the meaning of reassurance. Signaling you to continue to trust the universe to grant your desires.

It’s an encouragement for you to believe in the process. To trust that things will work out for you in due time.


Looking for growth in your life? Then you might need some help in your life. Especially if the decisions are big.

The number 3 is a sign that help is on the way. It’s the number of expansions, which at some point, requires some assistance.

The universe is letting you know to hold on tight, a helper has been sent to you.

This a good reminder that the universe is always caring about your wellbeing


This is your guiding number of resourcefulness and passion.

It signifies that you have the strength to carry on with whatever you’re looking to accomplish. 

When this number occurs repeatedly the universe is pointing you towards resources at your disposal. 


The number 5 is burning with optimism. Why? Because of the big change that’s coming your way.

5 signifies a major shift in your life. Things are about to get bigger. Your world is about to open greater opportunities.

So if you notice a reoccurrence of the number 5, pay attention.


When you look at the middle numbers from 1-9, the number 6 is the greatest, with the other being 5.

Where 5 brings big changes, 6 signifies  balance. It lets you know when you’re losing touch of things that center you in your world.

Life brings changes that can throw you into an up and down cycle. Making you lose track of the center pieces in your life.

The number 6 lets you know when this cycle is taking its toll on you. 


If you flip the number 8, it becomes an infinity sign. Which means the number 8 is a signal for endless attraction of your desires.

And it signifies the height of your ascension process.

Double digit or Master Numbers.

Bringing double the power of single digit numbers, these guys deepen the meaning of your synchronicity with the universe.

They’re also foundational blocks of other angel numbers.

So let’s take a look at them.


This is the master angel number. It’s one of the most powerful numbers in the law of attraction.

It’s the number of light awakenings. It’s a sign for you to connect to your highest self. So you can experience a new beginning.

Like the number 1 it signals the start of something fresh or new within you.

It’s also the number that signifies you have the inner strength required for a new journey


This is the angel number of relationships. You’re often going to see either after a new relationship starts. Or at the end of an old one.

It’s also a signal for you to trust what’s ahead for you. To believe the universe helped you in making the right decision for your situation


This is your call to stay patient, and adopt a spirit of perseverance in your life.

When you see the number 33, it’s a good reason to keep going. That success is right around the corner.

It could mean that help is coming or you’re a few steps from achieving your desires.

A good way to maintain that fresh air of positivity is gratitude.

It’s a fun way the universe reminds you it’s giving you support and guidance.

Like begets like. What you put in is what you get out. What goes on the inside shapes the outside.

Well, you get the point. Your health, and life in general is a reflection of your inner vibrations. Your vibrations are a reflection of your feelings. And your feelings are a byproduct of your thoughts.

Everything is linked. Connecting the dots backwards from your health problems will give you a profound understanding of your health.

Most people’s approach to manifestation is wrong. For example, people think their desire for something comes first, then they’ll feel better.

But that’s not how things work. Your desires stem from adopting the right feelings.

You see, you’re always manifesting. And the universe picks up on vibrations your body is giving off.

For a clearer picture let’s look at an analogy. A back pain could be the reflection of you feeling like you’re carrying the weight of the world.

See how that works? Simply process your feelings, and you can reduce pain in your life.

Stress, which is a major contributor to poor health, is born out of constant worrying. Worries suck the energy out of your life. And compounds negativity.

It’s tough to manifest anything good when you’re always in a mental loop of negativity.

Finding ways to lift your mood creates a positive connection with the universe.

Because the higher vibrations mean better results. And high vibrations result from positive emotions.

5 – Step Process To Manifest Better Health

Now, it’s time to get granular on the details.

This part will walk you through a proven plan to experience better health with lesser pain or stress.

Of course, you have to follow the order the steps appear. Because each stage requires you to be mentally prepared before you jump in.

Step 1: Let go of negative words.

You know the ones I’m talking about. “My life’s a mess”. “My day is terrible”

While you might think this is being honest, you’re conditioning your mind to accept this reality. It’s harder to shake it off once your brain sees life as terrible or out to get you.

Words are powerful. And they can make a huge impact on our lives.

Some words can even make you feel about your situation. You start talking down on yourself, making you feel like a victim.

When you’re much more than that. Your body is designed to experience good health. And negative statements about yourself just gets in the way.

Remember, it’s what you say about yourself that matters. So make it count.

Step 2: Believe 

Without belief, everything falls about. Even miracles require some sort of belief before they manifest.

Want to experience good health? Believe in your ability to manifest it.

The universe rewards your belief with the reality you seek. So if you want to get rid of pain or illness 

Step 3: Improve your feelings.

Your emotions are a guiding force in your spiritual journey. Find ways to lift your mood and feel better despite your situation.

Listen to your favorite song or watch an inspiring movie. Heck, you can even pull out a bag of your favorite quotes – then go through them every morning or before you sleep.

Fact is, the better your feelings, the better your results. There are endless ways that allow us to experience a rush of positive emotions.

Find the ones that apply to you, then  integrate them into your daily habits. It can really be anything. Whether that’s taking up your favorite hobbies. Or having a drink with positive people.

Health affirmations are also brilliant ways to boost your feelings.

Here are just a few of my favorites:

“I deserve good health. I am worthy of experiencing happiness”

“I release pain and sickness out of my body”

You want to always keep your vibrational frequency high enough. And affirmations are great ways to do that.

Take note, positive emotions leads to high vibrations

Step 4: Express Gratitude.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but being grateful for the things in our life has a huge impact on our mood.

If you’re feeling sick be grateful for the tiniest things. Say thank you to the nurse or doctor taking care of you.

Appreciate the cleaners and managers keeping the hospitals running. Say thank you to anyone holding it out for you. Not once a week but every day you see them.

Tell your friends you’re grateful for having them in your life

Fun fact: this is also an exciting way to feel better. You become aware of the blessings in your life.

Then the universe picks up on the positive vibrations your body gives off.

Step 5: Visualize what you want.

Now, that you’ve gotten rid of all the negative stuff, there’s so much space left.

It’s time to start filling it up with the reality you seek.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath and visualize the body you want to live in.

You’re moving freely. There’s no pain. And you’ve got the strength to carry out tasks

To increase your power of visualizations, you can use a vision board.

In my opinion, vision boards are one of the best ways to paint your desired picture.

Find images that inspire how you want your future health to be. Then look at it every morning.

For example, if you struggle with joint pain, you can collect images of people running or dancing. That’s how you create a vision board for your health goals

Then use it to visualize yourself in a healthier, stronger body.

As they say, health is wealth. The good thing is you’re in greater control of your health than you think.

You’re the source of your reality. And most of what occurs in our lives is a reflection of our inner thoughts, feelings or beliefs.

What Are Your Shadows?

Put simply, they are fears or limiting beliefs that we fight to accept. We push them back into our minds, out of reach from our consciousness.

Most times, they arise from your childhood. Or moments of weakness in your past. And they form layers of insecurities that block our desires from manifesting.

By refusing to accept their presence, they grow stronger. And slowly “own” us rather than vice versa.

For example, you might have deep, hidden concerns about your appearance. Maybe you got bullied for it as a child. But facing this reality can be challenging – much less accepting it. So you push it back, refusing to acknowledge its existence.

The problem with this approach is that push backs don’t mean disappearance. So those concerns are still there. Lurking as shadows, forming a dark blanket over your desires, and preventing them from coming to light

But when you decide to embrace them, you stand a good chance in poking holes for your light to shine through.

Why your shadows can help you.

I love to see shadows as pointers. Most times they’re the underlying reason why we struggle to manifest our desires.

Think about it, you’ll find it tougher to attract your desires if your subconscious is still plagued with lack of self worth.

If you’ve ever felt like your manifestations don’t work, you’d need a moment of inward reflection. Shadows are areas in our lives that lack self love or acceptance.

We stand a great chance of seeing the light in ourselves when we become aware of the dark areas within us. This way the light can guide us into our lands of prosperity.

Finding your light with simple steps.

Ever wondered why top performers seem to burst into greater success after slugging it out in their dark moments? I’ll tell you. Because your lowest points are an opportunity to face your fears.

To challenge your limiting beliefs so you can see the right path to walk on. This section will help you forge new areas where your light can shine through.

Step 1- Acknowledging your shadows.

We’d like to think that we’ve got the smallest amount of darkness possible. Or that we’ve got none at all. Of course, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

We’re all imperfect creatures navigating through the fairly turbulent waters of life. Along the way we pick up scars in the form of fears, and insecurities. You have to accept this reality. This is how you’ll be able to control it, rather than letting it control you.

Step 2- Trace their roots.

Shadows are caused when something obstructs the light in our lives. Casting a darkness of doubts or fears on important areas.

Your duty is to find out what that something is to find out what that something is. Learn to pay attention to when you feel embarrassed, ashamed or in pain. Any moment that triggers these feelings inside you should be your point of self reflection.

Ask yourself: Why do I feel this way? What in my past could be preventing me from expressing myself? To remove a tree, it’s always a great idea to tackle it from its roots.

Insecurities are problems that have roots that run deep into our subconscious. Self reflection is how you find out what these roots are so you can cut them. This is not an excuse to dwell on the past though. But to connect with your past, and make peace with it.

Step 3- Affirmations.

When in doubt, go with affirmations. They’re one of my favorite tools in a manifestor’s tool box. Because they offer you a new sense of direction; away from the darkness, towards the light.

You can easily reframe your fears or anxieties with a simple affirmation. A terrible belief like “I’m not enough” can easily become “I’m capable of succeeding” Low self esteem issues can be flipped into “I’m confident in my own skin”

See how that works? Repeating this over and over again trains your mind to believe it. And once your mind believes, the results you seek will follow.

Final Thoughts.

Whatever we’re not aware of, can end up controlling us. That’s why bringing our shadows to consciousness is a big part of finding our light.

Your shadows are merely weaknesses waiting to be strengthened.  Fear waiting to be turned to confidence. And hate waiting to be dissolved in self-love.

You can either let them cloud your desires or a carve path where your light can shine through.

How Are Bad Habits Formed In The First Place

To better understand a problem it’s always a great idea to trace the roots. All bad habits stem from a common formation principle.

Knowing this will serve you well. Because once you explore the various ways bad habits emerge, tackling them becomes easier.

So how do bad habits form? All habits (not just bad ones) follow a four part process that cements them in our lives:

1) A cue or trigger.
2) Craving
3) Response or Reaction
4) Reward

Let’s dive deeper a little into each one to see how bad habits like smoking, alcohol, and even procrastination take hold of our lives.

To do this we’ll use alcohol drinking as a reference point

– Cue Or Trigger.

This is anything that creates an urge for you to indulge in a habit. It ranges from things like stress, a physical reminder of your past or anxiety.

Basically, anything that raises your urge to indulge in negative habits is your trigger. For alcohol, it could be stress at work. Most people state stress as a major reason they slip back into their old drinking ways.

– Cravings.

Once that trigger has been fired, your cravings kick in. You can control it at this point but most people don’t. And their cravings get the better of them.

It’s hard to fight your cravings but you’ll soon find out a few tricks to help you out.

– Response Or Reaction.

This where you indulge in the bad habit over and over again. From one bottle of alcohol to two then three, till you’re finally too drunk to do anything.

Response has a multiplier effect. Which means once you start an action, you’ll want to increase it.

That’s why it’s close to impossible to hold yourself back at this point. And the reason is due to rewards from engaging in such actions.

– Rewards.

This practically seals the deal. Because if there was no form of reward in the first place, we’d probably never have bad habits.

Feeling less anxiety after gulping four alcohol bottles makes people return to it.

For a lot of people these bad habits become soothing. They massage our emotions temporarily leading us to slip back into old ways we’d swore to get done with.

Why Bad Habits Make For Ineffective Manifestation.

Once we lose our ability to manifest, we lose access to our blessings.

Bad Habits might give you some rewards but they’re short lived. They’re disguised problems waiting to jump out on you from nowhere.

Sure, you might drown your worries and feel good in the moment. But what happens after that? Headaches, loss of concentration, and lower vibrations. 

These problems compound, and damage your ability to manifest your desires. And if you can’t focus, that’s a goodbye to your dreams. Because that’s an ability every powerful manifestor is armed with.

So if your vibrations are low, the universe can’t give you what you want.

How To Break Bad Habits For Good.

Good habits make success possible. They’re like seeds that bring fruits of happiness, joy, and money into your future.

You might look at people that seem to move through life with ease and wonder why.

Well, it’s the habits they’ve planted long ago. That’s why it’s crucial to break bad habit cycles. Then replace them with good ones so your life can move smoothly.

On that note, you can follow these steps to break your bad habits.

1- Practice Mindfulness.

Bad habits like smoking or drinking don’t magically disappear. No matter how much we want them to.

It takes deliberate effort on your part to put an end to plaguing habits. And the first step is becoming aware of your triggers.

There are certain things, situations or people that trigger you once you encounter them. It’s your duty to sit back, and find out what these things are.

You can’t fix a problem if you don’t know the cause. Pointing your finger at something, and labelling at a trigger will help you to catch yourself.

This way you’ll be more aware of your feelings.

2- Detoxify.

This is where you get rid of your triggers. If your trigger is stress, find ways to relax. Like watching a movie. Or listening to your favorite songs.

Spend less time around things that create an urge to slip into bad habits. If there’s someone that triggers you, then it’s time to start seeing that person less often.

Your body, mind, and energy will thank you for it.

3- Make it harder to start

Sometimes we might slip up in the first two steps. And that’s okay. That’s why it’s important to make bad habits tougher to continue. 

An example is when you’ve got a phone addiction and can’t seem to drop it down. To make it harder to use, consider locking it up in a drawer before you sleep. Or at certain periods of the day

If you struggle with drinking, you can apply similar methods. You can reduce the amount of bottles you stock up in your fridge.

Also, you can set boundaries on your time or attention for toxic people. This will make it harder for them to reach you.

When it’s tougher to slip into bad habits, we get discouraged from carrying them out.

4- Visualize your new behavior

Now that we’ve got all the bad stuff out of the way, it’s time to focus on the good ones.

This will help you unplug from the negative cycles. Visualizing yourself practicing your new behaviors will help you escape from negativity.

Why? Because your mind gets used to it. And as you probably know, your mind shapes your reality. 

The more your mind believes in your ability to change, the easier it is for your body to act on it. 

Here we preach the power of visualizations. Because it’s a gateway to actually becoming who you desire to be.

Wrapping Things Up

Bad habits have no place in your life. The less you indulge in them, the faster your desires manifest.

Your vibration is an energy force that needs to be constantly stimulated. So you carve out ways to do that.

Good habits ensure you’re filled with abundance, joy, and positivity.

Try to think of your partner as though he’s already there. What are you currently doing? Is he holding you? Taking you on a vacation? Or simply calming you down after a stressful day?

Describe your ideal relationship with him/her. This helps you leave an imprint on your subconscious mind. It’ll be easier to know when that person comes into your life.

You Are Attached To The Outcome
While it’s important to focus on your desires, being attached to the outcome can bring in a negative result. This is a common reason why people mess up the manifestation process.

It’s important to channel your energy towards what you want, but you should also LET GO and live your life a bit. And by letting go, I don’t mean that you no longer desire it. I’m simply telling you to be less attached to the outcome.

Stop trying to make things happen on your own accord, don’t be obsessed about them coming, quit checking your phone hoping someone buzzes you, and stalking his/her social media account.

Don’t obsess over when it’ll happen, where it’ll happen, or how it’ll happen. The truth is that you attach the same energy you give out and if you become worried and stressed about it, you’ll manifest someone who matches that energy.

So my advice is that you send your manifestation to the universe, then fall back a bit. Live, relax, and enjoy as if you know that your happy relationship is coming your way.

You Lack Belief
One of the reasons you attract the wrong person is that you don’t believe your manifestation will come through.

Even if you are doing all the manifestation techniques correctly, something within you believes that it’s false. You are giving eye services to the idea of manifesting a specific person but you feel it is unrealistic.

Sure, he is attractive, charismatic, and has other good qualities that make him your ideal man. If feeling confident is something you want, you might manifest someone else that gives you that exact feeling.

You could see it as manifesting the wrong person, but if this new guy makes you feel like a winner, they pay attention to you and have all the qualities you want in a man, then the universe has fulfilled your desire.

The law of attraction works based on feelings. So, yes, it may be the wrong person physically, but this type of result works for you.

You’re Focusing on the ‘Void’ in Your Life
Another problem that can cause you to manifest the wrong person is focusing on lack.

We know there is a void to fill in your life. So focusing on filling it up is understandable. However, if you are spending too much time thinking about how empty your bed or your life is, you’ll attract emptiness.

Feeling that you are not good enough, or you are incomplete will make you attract the wrong person into your life. So, you will attract a person who feels incomplete and is desperate to have you.

The best way to attract love from a person is to fill yourself with love. Do the things that make you happy and stop focusing on the space in your bed or closet.

That’s why it’s vital to get in touch with your soul.

Because everything has its origin within you.

Remembering that nothing happens without your permission is a great way to align your thoughts to what matters.

Plus, it’s a fantastic way to keep your self-belief high.

Step 2: Embrace your fears.

What we resist persists.

Now, it’s time to acknowledge how you feel.

Don’t fight back or try to deny it.

Realizing you’re scared is a great way to understand, and master your emotions.


Because fully embracing your fears opens up the opportunity for you to process them.

So you channel it out of your body.

You see, you can’t get rid of something if you don’t acknowledge its presence.

That’s why I often tell people to get in touch with their emotions. To give themselves permission to feel the rush of anxiety.

It’s totally okay to feel scared about the future. Or to be unsure if you’ll ever attract your dream partner or car.

So when you understand this, you realize the fear isn’t really you.

It’s just a coping mechanism for your brain.

This way, it becomes easier to just let it all out.

Step 3: It’s time to let go.

Sometimes I wish there’s just one way to get the fear out of my system.

How nice it would be, right?

So you make room for faith, and love to grow.

I know, writing seems to be the answer to a lot of things these days.

Especially when it comes to showing your fears the door out of your life.

Now, don’t be hard on yourself and try to fill up pages if it’s your first time.

My philosophy is one line at a time.

When you love yourself, trust builds.

You give yourself more room to let go and be free

Self-love has a great way of shaping how we see ourselves.

It fills us with unshakeable belief, and confidence.

Soon enough, our vibrations start to pick up.

Then we become a joy to be around.

We radiate so much love, it becomes hard to get scared.

Because when you send out good emotions, great things find their way to you.

Self-love brings self-confidence.

And self-confidence increases your belief or faith levels.
